Karikari Beach stretches nearly 7 miles along the Far North of New Zealand. Its bright white sand, calm water, and untouched coastline capture the feeling of New Zealand at its most natural and unspoiled.

This sand comes from a coastline shaped by wind, tide, and time. The grains are naturally bright, smooth, and unspoiled — taken from a beach so remote that its character remains unchanged.

Because Karikari Beach is untouched, the sand stays clean and pure. It hasn’t been processed or altered. Every grain in the necklace is collected exactly as nature made it.

Before the sand is sealed inside each necklace, it’s gently cleaned and heated to 392°F (200°C) for over 45 minutes. This step ensures the sand is dry, safe, and ready for international shipping — including the USA and Canada.

Once cooled, the sand is hand-filled into each glass hourglass and sealed for protection, preserving its natural character exactly as it came from the beach.
